Kim

Technician

I started working with companion pets as a young teenager via boarding facilities, grooming salons and pet store establishments. In the later part of the 1980’s I enrolled in an animal sciences program and finished up with on the job training. I joined the clinic in 1988 and fulfilled multiple roles as a team member. My main areas of interest are nursing and animal behavior/communication. My years of technical knowledge allows me to advocate for the voiceless in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Most of my days are graced with the companionship of like-minded co-workers and medical miracles. It’s been a fascinating experience observing the rapid expansion of veterinary medicine over the last three decades.

I grew up with family pets: a dog mixed breed named Queenie and a skitty kitty named Sammy. I was recently gifted an Australian Goulding finch named Lunch Box. In my down time I enjoy working out and spending time in nature and practicing daily mindfulness.

Fun Fact: I am a huge fan of martial arts and appreciate the philosophies attached. I enjoy watching martial arts based movies and documentaries. Bruce Lee is my hero!
