Pets are picture perfect inside and out. Images we take using ultrasounds and X-rays (radiology) provide us with eye-catching visuals that give valuable insight into their state of health. These diagnostics are just one of the many tools we use to keep our patients in the best health possible. If you have any further questions, simply dial 416-481-1127. Why would my pet need an ultrasound or X-ray?
Veterinarians typically request these scans when they are in the process of diagnosing your pet. The images are used for a closer look, so to speak. X-rays and ultrasounds offer images of a patient’s bones, intestines, stomach, lungs, heart and other body parts. They help doctors detect root causes of a pet’s condition, among several other factors that can be affecting their health.
How soon can I get results from my pet’s scans?
Here at Leaside, we use digital scans. Unlike traditional imaging done on film, this technology means we can analyze results on the same day. This leads to quicker diagnosis and treatment, as well as less radiation exposure for our patients and registered veterinary technicians.
