How long do the sutures stay in after my pet’s surgery?

We use different types of sutures. Procedures involving external non-dissolving sutures require them to be removed in 10-14 days following the surgery. Some skin sutures are absorbable and will fall out on their own over the course of about a month or so. Other types of sutures will be buried under the skin and won’t require removal. Our staff and doctors will advise you about the type used for your pet’s surgery and the appropriate care required.
