Established in 1980 by Dr Ruth Weintrop and Dr. Karen Kennedy, the Leaside Animal clinic was the first clinic in Toronto to be owned by a team of women veterinarians. Having joined the practice is Dr Beth Thompson and Dr. Catherine Went.
